WhatsApp is set to allow users to transfer data between their Android and iPhone devices soon. This will make it easier for users to keep their contact lists and messages organized on both devices. The feature is set to launch in a future update of the messaging app, and will be available to those who have an account with either company. It is not clear yet how much data will be allowed to be transferred, but it is likely that the limit will be based on the amount of data that is being used by both devices. This move comes as a relief for those who are struggling to keep track of their contact lists on different platforms. With WhatsApp, users can easily access all of their contacts in one place, making it easier for them to stay connected with friends and family.
Samsung had its massive Galaxy Unpacked event where the company announced new foldable phones, earbuds, and watches. Mixed in with all of that excitement, Samsung announced that WhatsApp users would be able to transfer data from iPhones to either the Galaxy Z Fold 3 or the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

After the initial period of exclusivity for the new phones, Samsung also said that the transfer feature would come to other Samsung devices “in the coming weeks.”
Following that, WhatsApp intends to bring the feature to other Android and iPhone devices, making it possible to transfer between any supported phone.
This is an excellent feature for anyone thinking about switching operating systems. There are plenty of compelling reasons to choose between Android and iPhone, so being able to jump ship without losing your WhatsApp chat history and other data.
