If you’re a group of people who like to communicate through email, there are a few things you can do to make sure your messages are received and read.
- Make sure your email address is included in the body of each message. This will help ensure that everyone in the group has access to your messages, and that they can easily find and respond to them.
- Use subject lines that are relevant to the topic of the message. For example, if you’re sending a message about meeting new people, try something like " Meeting New People Today!"
- Use images or videos as part of your messages. This will help people see what they need to see in order to respond quickly and effectively.
Set Up A Group in the Contacts App
You can use a workaround in the Contacts app to create a single contact with multiple email addresses. Next time you need to send an email to your entire product team or your book club, you’ll only need to select one contact.
To set it up, open the Contacts app and tap on the “+” button.
Next, give the contact a distinct group name that you’ll remember.
Swipe down until you find the “Notes” section. Here, type in multiple email addresses, all separated by commas (as shown in the screenshot below).
Once you’re done, tap and hold on the Notes section and select all the text. Then tap on the “Copy” button.
Now go up to the “Email” field and double-tap on the empty text field. Here, tap on the “Paste” option.
The multiple email addresses that you copied from the Notes section will be pasted in. If you try to add more than one email address in the same field manually, it won’t work.
Tap on the “Done” button at the top to save the contact.

Send Messages to a Group in the Mail App
Now, let’s send an email to the group contact. While you’re viewing the contact in the Contacts app, you can tap on the “Mail” button to quickly start a mail conversation with all the email addresses in the group contact.
If you aren’t already in the Contacts app, you should start by opening the Mail app. Next, from the bottom toolbar, tap on the “New” button.
Here, select the “To” field at the top and start searching for the group contact we made in the above step.
Once you find it, tap on it to select it as the recipient. You can add more email addresses if you want.
Next, type out the subject and the message text. Now, tap on the “Send” button.
As we’re using a workaround, you might get an “Invalid Address” prompt. Don’t worry about it, and click the “Send” button to share the email.
The message will now be sent to the group. When they reply (individually or to all participants), the Mail app will notify you.
